IPL Intense Pulsed Light

Say goodbye to the effects of sun damage, hyperpigmentation, rosacea, vascular lesions, pigmented lesions and more. With the transformative Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) photofacial treatment, gentle rejuvenation of the skin is now easier than ever. IPL photorejuvenation is a breakthrough treatment that allows patients to transform discolored, red, blotchy skin into a radiant and smooth complexion. For those who suffer from lesions and other aesthetically displeasing skin issues, IPL photofacial treatments may be the perfect dermatological treatment.

laser hair removal

Laser hair removal targets, melanin, a pigment that gives your hair its color. When you’re having a laser hair removal treatment done, the IPL (intense pulse light) device or laser targets the melanin inside of the hair follicle in your skin. The laser creates heat which safely damages the follicle and prevents hair growth. Because of this, laser hair removal works best on skin and hair that has less melanin, which means it's best to have the treatment done in the fall or winter when you’re less likely to be tan. In this post, we will look at a couple of ways melanin affects laser hair removal treatments.

CoolSculpting is the only FDA-cleared, non-surgical fat cell reduction treatment that uses targeted cooling to eliminate fat that is resistant to diet and exercise.

Southwest Michigan Dermatology

As many of our Southwest Michigan Dermatology and Laser & Skin Care Center patients have probably noticed, our website has been completely redone! We wanted to have a website that was informational and user-friendly for our current and potential patients. While our messaging and branding has remained largely the same, we feel the color scheme and layout is much more representative of who we are as a provider of medical and cosmetic dermatology treatment, services, and products.
